Structura in Somnia
Made for the GO TO BED event organized by the students of Baltic Film, Media and Arts School. This short animation is inspired by a dream I once had. As I was flying above the tropical and
otherworldly island landscape, I noticed a giant structure whose architecture reminded me of
both a pyramid and a star, with its numerous sides. I didn't know its purpose, but I was certain it
had been built by humans long ago. Curiosity led me inside, where I roamed around this ancient
structure and realized that it resembled a museum or a repository of some remote past
knowledge. Illuminated by a blue light that resembled holograms, I recognized the shapes of
humanoids. This left me with more questions than answers. When I woke up, I knew I wanted to
recreate this structure. The sound is composed by Karl Kevad based on my animation and
description.
